Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home with a combined gross household income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence revenue would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to my nsfas study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their my nsfas application.
